Performance analysis of the postal market in the Republic of Croatia before and after the COVID-19 virus pandemic

Postal and courier activities play an important role both in the economic and social development of the country. In the conditions of the global pandemic of the COVID-19 virus, the postal and courier activities began to play a significant role, providing people with the necessary connections and distribution channels for the supply of goods. The aim of the paper is to determine the performance of companies classified according to the National Classification of Activities 2007 in activity division H53 Postal and courier activities in the Republic of Croatia. The paper analyses the structural and business indicators of activity division H53, based on data from the Financial Agency's info.BIZ 2.0 database for the period from 2018 to 2021. The results of the analysis show that the subject activity achieved a slight increase in revenues and profitability after the announcement of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a simultaneous decrease in gross investments.
