Assessment of Mobility Measures to Overcome Mobility Poverty and Orientate Towards Resilient Planning
Mobility poverty, due to its multifactorial character, has a unique characteristic imposed world-widely; it can be detected even in the most outreach and sustainably developed urban transportation systems, also in poorly designed and low transportation level territories. This study aims to underline the mobility poverty factors responsible for the detection of the phenomenon in high-end territories such as the city of Shenzhen in China but also in multi-characteristic locations in Europe, and the assessment of sustainable mobility measures, as an efficient answer to mitigate poverty in mobility. Using the Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis PROMETHEE II, Mobility Management is underlined as the preferable mobility policy at the European and Greek levels, while for China safety, e-mobility and high air-quality levels are considered dominant.
