DYNAMIC PLASTIC BUCKLING OF RINGS AND CYLINDRICAL SHELLS
An experimental investigation was undertaken into the dynamic plastic buckling of circular rings subjected to uniformly distributed external impulsive velocities. The experimental values of the average final radial deflections, critical mode numbers and dimensions of the permanent wrinkles in the mild steel and aluminum specimens are compared with various theoretical predictions and other experimental results.
