This paper examines the opportunities and challenges associated with deploying smart mobility strategies, including assessing the impacts of automated vehicles and shared mobility. The paper identifies collaborative approaches and public engagement strategies to minimize potential negative impacts of automated vehicles and evaluates the roles of land use, parking, pricing, curb management, and other policy measures towards reducing negative impacts.
