DERIVATION OF STRESS SPECTRA FROM MEASUREMENTS ON ORTHOTROPIC BRIDGE DECKS DURING NORMAL TRAFFICKING

This report describes a method of recording the strains and associated wheel loads produced by normal traffic on two adjacent experimental bridge decks. Details are given of analogue-to-digital conversion, counting methods and processing of the records to obtain a series of classified tables. The differences in behavior of the two panels is briefly discussed and a summary of the classified digital data is given. /Author/TRRL/
