AIR-ENTRAINED CONCRETE

The value of air entrainment in improving the frost resistance of concrete has been amply demonstrated. This booklet describes the effects of entrained air on the properties of both fresh and hardened concrete, and gives guidance on the methods of achieving the desired air content in various mix formulations. The relevant clauses of BS 1881, Part 2, Methods of Testing Fresh Concrete, are given as an appendix. /Author/
