THE USE OF BITUMEN EMULSIONS IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF ROADS

The types and grades of bitumen emulsion available to road authorities in South Africa and their properties are described. Recommendations are made on the correct handling and application of bitumen emulsion in road construction practice.
