MODI. A leap towards SAE L4 automated driving features

Im Rahmen des EU-geförderten MODI-Projekts sollen die Demonstration von SAE L4-Driving für den Straßengüterverkehr entlang eines Korridors durchgeführt, Hindernisse im Hinblick auf die Einführung automatisierter Verkehrssysteme identifiziert sowie Lösungen für ein optimales Design des Gesamtsystems Fahrzeug/Infrastruktur für private Flächen und öffentliche Straßen entwickelt werden. Die Demonstration erfolgt im Rahmen von 5 „Use Cases". Die BASt ist unter anderem zum Thema Sicherheit der Fahrzeuge beteiligt. (A) ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: The EU-funded MODI project will carry out a demonstration of SAE L4 driving for road freight transport along a corridor, will identify obstacles with regard to the rollout of automated transport systems and will develop solutions for an optimal design of the overall system vehicle/infrastructure for private areas and public roads. The demonstration will take place within the framework of 5 use cases. BASt is e.g. involved in the topic of vehicle safety. (A)
