FACTORS INFLUENCING THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF DEEP-STABILIZED SOIL

FAKTORER SOM INVERKAR PAA DJUPSTABILISERADE JORDARS MEKANISKA EGENSKAPER

The investigation showed that the sulphur content of the soil affect the shear resistance of lime-stabilized soil and that the deformation of lime columns to 50 per cent depends on the loss of air. This air was absorbed during the manufacturing process. It was also observed that the pozzolana reaction was faster and stronger in situ than in the laboratory. The better and faster increase in shear strength in situ depends on the higher temperature. (TRRL)
