ROAD CONSTRUCTION ON PEAT. EXPERIMENTAL EMBANKMENT AT WIDENING OF ROAD

VAEGBYGGNAD PAA TORV. TESTBANK I SAMBAND MED VAEGBREDDNING

The article deals with a full scale test on an experimental embankment beside a low cost road founded on "floating" peat. The aim was to investigate if it is possible to widen roads on peat by pre-loading. A preliminary evaluation of the project is given. (TRRL)
