MIAMI METRO REACHES DOWN AND UNDER
Miami Metro has developed work equipment which mades possible the more effective inspection, maintenance and repair of aerial structures. A Plasser PMC-30 maintenance car has been fitted with a basket-equipped Trasin hydraulic crane that has reach sufficient to inspect the bottoms of both girders of a double-track aerial structure. The car is fitted with equipment to assure stability while using the crane and with hose reels, air compressor and electric generator. The diesel-powered unit can also be used to pull strings of revenue cars, even on grades, when necessary.
