PERSONAL MOBILITY AND TRANSPORT

In order to help the disabled persons to get in and out of their cars, different systems have been developed. Some systems are described in this paper. Adaptation of vehicle controls, financial help, specialized vehicles, parking schemes, pedestrianization schemes and specialist taxi or dial-a-ride services are also dealt with. Public city transport should also be applied in order to be accessible to the disabled.
