CONSTRUCTION OF PRESTRESSED CONCRETE RAILWAY BRIDGES WITH CONTINUOUS SPAN
In this work consideration is given to wide span railway structures with a continuous beam in pre-stressed concrete. A description is given of the more widely adoped construction systems, together with the advantages and disadvantages connected with such structures. A presentation is also given of the present state of this technique and the design and constructional criteria of these same structures adopted by the SNCF. Lastly, two works are illustrated, which were visited by the authors and built by the same SNCF.
