AIR-CONDITIONING AND POWER SUPPLY IN STANDARD DINING CARS OF THE SWISS FEDERAL RAILWAYS
Using this air-conditioning system as a basis, it was possible for the first time to achieve partial air-conditioning of the kitchens in the dining cars of the intercity trains. The new air-conditioning is not only highly economic, but also ensures a high standard of hygiene. The authors describe the air-conditioning unit and the power supply installed in these vehicles, which were developed by the SBB in collaboration with Swiss coach manufacturers and Brown Boveri.
