Ever since 1968, a major survey is conducted at 5-yearly intervals on feeder traffic. As the CFF rail link to Zurich Airport was opened in 1980, comparison between the 1978 and 1983 surveys in particularly interesting. The general increase in traffic (public transport + private car) was 20% between 1978 and 1983.
