THE NUMBER PLATE - INFORMATION SYSTEM

HET KENTEKEN-INFORMATIESYSTEEM

The number plate -information system is considered to be a cheap and quick way for data acquisition in parking survey. The system has been developed and tested for two years. The system can be used for traffic and parking surveys, for journey time measurements and visual traffic counts. The system can be applied as an intrument for the police by which a saving of man power, an increased chance of offence detection and a higher number of parking fines can be obtained. (TRRL)
