INDEPENDENT TRANSPORTATION FOR THE PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED
As the physically handicapped population has increased, society has become more responsive to the integration of these groups into the social mainstream. This integration has been made possible in part by the efforts of design professionals. Designers have already demonstrated their responsibility by creating products and environmental spaces which have eliminated many of the barriers encountered in the everyday lives of the handicapped.
