THE INFLUENCE OF A SINGLE-PHASE CATENARY RAILWAY ON THE ENVIRONMENT AND ON THE QUALITY OF LIFE
This article analyses interferences produced by railway overhead-line electric traction on the human environment. Two kinds of interferences have been found, i.e. interference and electrostatic and/or electromagnetic voltage. Adequate protective measures can reduce the impact, thus protecting the quality of life in the vicinity of electrified lines.
