CONCRETE ARCH BRIDGES
OM BUEBRUER I BETONG
Previously, construction of a reinforced concrete arch required the use of costly scaffolding as well as complicated formwork for concrete pouring. Thus, arches have been abandoned due to economic reasons. New construction methods, however, demonstrate that it is again possible to construct long span arches at a competitive cost and with less risk during thhe construction period. (Author/TRRL)
