FUEL CONSERVATION IN DELIVERY VEHICLE FLEETS
For several years bp Australia has worked to reduce the fuel consumption of its petroleum products delivery vehicles. The reduction in average fuel consumption has been 20 per cent over the last 3-4 years and will be even greater as older vehicles are replaced. The reduction has been in part due to the availability of more fuel-efficient engines from manufacturers but there are also several areas available to fleet operators which can contribute to substantial fuel economy improvements.
