OBSERVATION OF SOME POINTS OF EN10 NEAR FOGUETEIRO

OBSERVACAO DE ALGUNS PONTOS DA EN10 JUNTO AO FOGUETEIRO

As part of the Collaboration Plan between Junta Autonoma de Estradas and LNEC, observations were carried out on a small stretch of EN10, near Fogueteiro, in order to ascertain the influence of the application of a bituminous material on the bearing capacity of the road. Three series of tyre tests were carried out, the first one on the existing pavement, the second and third 1 and 40 days repsectively after the application of the bituminous layer. The pavement deflectograph developed by the LNEC was used.
