ROADWAY FEATURES AND TRUCK SAFETY

Following the passage of the Surface Transportation Assistance Act of 1982, there has been some concern of the implicit safety aspects of allowing larger vehicles on two lane highways. This paper reports on a statistical analysis of accident data which identified roadway features most closely associated with the problems of truck safety. (Author/TRRL)
