IMPACT OF VIBRATIONS IN THE VICINITY OF ROADS
L'IMPACT DES VIBRATIONS A PROXIMITE DES VOIES ROUTIERES
The objectives of this study were (1) to describe the elements of discomfort attributed to traffic generated vibrations by road frontagers; (2) to investigate vibration levels measured along carriageways and inside dwellings; and lastly (3) to develop methods of measuring and forecasting vibration levels with a view to quantifying and reducing the impact of vibrations.
