CONCEPT OF CONTROL TECHNIQUE FOR THE ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE CLASS 120 OF THE GERMAN FEDERAL RAILWAY (DB)
DAS KNOZEPT DER LEITTECHNIK FUER DIE ELEKTRISCHE LOKOMOTIVE BAUREIHE 120 DER DEUTSCHEN BUNDESBAHN
Control techniques of the locomotive class 120 incorporate electronic devices for the conversion of commands of locomotive period into converter drive signals for the generation of tractive or braking force. This task is realized by the cooperation of several functional modules. A description is given of their structure and function. The control technique enables the operation of the traction motors, which is similar to feeding each axle, and a remarkable increase of the utilization of the coefficient of adhesion.
