AUTOMATIC PROCESSING OF RESULTS OF CONTINUOUS MEASUREMENTS: APPLICATION TO MEASUREMENTS OF DEFLEXION

TRAITEMENT AUTOMATIQUE DES RESULTATS DE MESURES EN CONTINU APPLICATION AUX MESURES DE DEFLEXION

The authors present a method of processing continuously recorded measurements and its application to the analysis of measurements of deflexion on flexible pavements. This method makes it possible to divide the recording into "satistically homogeneous zones". For this purpose we assume that in a homogeneous zone the sequence of values of the parameter measured is distributed in accordance with a Gaussian law. The zones are determined by a technique of dichotomy based on the properties of composition of the variance. After processing, the recording is thus cut up into a certain number of zones characterized by the mean value and the standard deviation of the parameter measured.
