DYNAMICS OF BRIDGES UNDER MOVING LOADS

DYNAMIQUE DES OUVRAGES D'ART SOUS CHARGES MOBILES

The authors describe a modelling of the passage of a two-axle vehicle over a series of composite single-span bridges. The vehicle had been chosen with previously fixed characteristics, while the bridges were statistically defined. A study was made of the problems of crossing at constant speed, braking, and - in a probabilist manner - the effect of imperfections of the pavement.
