THE ANALYSIS OF COMPONENTS AND STRUCTURES BY THE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD
This paper is an over view of the finite-element method which circumvents the fundamental principles underlying the formulation of this method. It also makes comparison of the method with that of other techniques of analysis of engineering components and structures. The essential aspects of the method and its formulation have been discussed in the detail and applications in the field of engineering analysis have also been mentioned. (Author)
