A TECHNIQUE FOR COMPACTION OF SAND IN DESERT AREA
Quick-in-situ compaction of sand is frequently warranted for effecting off-road trafficability in desert areas and preparation of helepads. A method for compacting loose sand terrain by foamed propellent, which consists of explosive mixture in a hydrolysed protein base with the foaming agent, has been studied and reported here. (TRRL)
