BRIDGE ACROSS KALI RIVER ON NH 17 NEAR KARWAR
The paper gives a brief account of the design and construction of the 665.5 m long bridge across the Kali River, near Karwar in Karnataka. Spans up to 122 m have been adopted utilising cast in situ segmental cantilever construction with a hinge at the centre of the span. Details of pneumatic sinking for well foundations have been given.
