CORRELATION BETWEEN STATIC AND DYNAMIC MODULUS OF ELASTICITY OF ROCKS
This paper presents the results of studies carried out in the laboratory for determining the correlation between static and dynamic modulus of elasticity of rock. Twenty nine rock samples from diffferent project sites in Uttar Pradesh were collected for study. On the basis of test results, it was observed that dynamic modulus is always higher than static modulus, the coefficient of correlation between the two was found as 0.83, which is highly significant and indicates a linear relationship between static and dynamic modulus for intact rocks.
