PASSENGER STATION IN FUTURE
Location of a passenger station is very important to both the railway system and city. For this reason, a passenger station has been called the face of a city. The author has begun an interdisciplinary group study with nine laboratory collaborators, to devise a new railway service strategy including off-rail business. This report gives the private opinion of the author as one of the group study members. In order to create a new face for passenger stations in the future, the authors should recognize location advantages, establish a new policy and forecast social trends as accurately as possible.
