ENGINEERING GEOLOGICAL MAPPING IN BELGIUM (ED)
Since 1973 engineering geological maps are being elaborated on the scale 1/5000 and 1/1000 for the urban areas of Brussels, Liege, Charleroi, Mons, Ghent and Antwerp. All maps are multipurpose and provide only objective data on the engineering geological environment. Special attention is paid to the elaboration of the map concerning the infilled and disturbed soils. On this maps, the situation of old water courses, demolished military fortifications and all other modifications of the natural surface is given. (TRRL)
