A FLEXIBLE APPROACH TO SCREENLINE DATA-PROCESSING
This paper describes the processing of observed screen line data from which trip matrices were subsequently to be built using the Matrix-Building and Validation Program (MBVP) suite. In particular, it describes the development and application of a simple algorithm used to identify fully-observed movements between groups of zones rather than individual zone pairs. The work was undertaken as part of the Midlands Northern Sector Traffic Model (MNSTM) commissioned by the West Midlands Regional Office (WMRO) of the Department of Transport. (TRRL)
