DRILLING OPERATIONS IN TUNNEL CUTTING
BUSACKI RADOVI PRI IZRADI PREDUSJEKA TUNELA
The frontal and transverse method of drilling for blasting operations in tunnel cuttings and access roads is presented. The arrangement of boreholes and mine place-scheme with regard to the sequence of detonations are also presented. Some experimental data for the determination of drilling depth, distance between boreholes and least resistance are given. It is pointed out that the increased volume of drilling by means of the observed methods can be justified because of increased terrain stability. (TRRL)
