TRANSPORTATION FACT BOOK
For the past 16 years, the Bureau has conducted a "continuing traffic study (CTS)" for the purpose of developing transport data to be utilized in conjunction with other special studies to aid in the compilation of evidentiary statistics in justification of general adjustments in rates, accessorial charges, seasonal adjustments, etc. These statistics and other have allowed the generation of statistical data that provide a detailed traffic profile of the moving industry, as represented by Bureau study carriers. The data set forth in this fact book represent the most detailed analysis of traffic statistics available in the moving industry. The data is compiled from the Bureau's 1983 Continuing Traffic Study. The various tables, charts graphs, etc., illustrated in this book are valuable statistics that should provide movers with a very valuable managerial tool. (Author)
