TRADE-OFFS FOR URBAN BUS OPERATORS IN PLANNING PASSENGER INFORMATION SYSTEMS: BACKGROUND TO A NEW RESEARCH PROJECT
The short paper introduces a research project of passenger travel information systems designed to inform the traveling public of current, advertised services; to advise passengers of delays, or day-to-day departures from advertised services; and to accompany the occasional--though in recent years, increasingly frequent--fare and network revisions and reorganizations.
