INJURY IN AMERICA A CONTINUING PUBLIC HEALTH PROBLEM
Chapter 1 of this report introduces the subject by defining and describing injury and the magnitude of the injury problem. Chapters 2 through 6 describe the state of knowledge of various facets of the injury problem and identify the kinds of research that are required. Chapter 7 and 8 deal with the research funding and organizational arrangements for research and training related to injury. Appendix A contains some examples of the general research problems associated with injury control and the committee's recommendations for addressing them, and Appendix B contains brief biographies on the committee members.
