AUTO RACES AND MOTOR RACES AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON DRIVING BEHAVIOUR
AUTO EN MOTORRACES EN DE BEINVLOEDING VAN HET RIJGEDRAG
A literature review and a field study by means of interviews were made into the possible effects of auto races and motor races on the driving behaviour of visitors to such events, especially on their return journey after such races. The aggressivity of the drivers after a football game was also tested. Even if the modification in driving behaviour was not significant, it is shown that younger drivers are more influenced than older drivers. Further research should be carried out for particularly aggressive traffic offences such as overtaking on the wrong side, too fast driving, and driving with three cars side by side. (TRRL)
