CITIZENS' BAND FOR ROAD TRAFFIC PURPOSES

The report was prepared as a final working party document within the European project on electronic traffic aids on major roads (Euro-Cost 30 BIS). The work was coordinated by Sweden. Austria, Belgium, France and Spain also participated, mainly be correspondence. The work was carried out primarily from a traffic engineering and motorist point of view. Technical and administrative aspects of the use of CB-radio are also studied by working groups R 19 and R 22 of CEPT (the European Conference of Posts and Telecommunications). Other international bodies dealing with citizens' band are world CB Union and European citizens' Band Federation (ECBF). The report is also available in German and French. (Author/TRRL)
