INFORMATIONSBEHANDLING FOER GODSTRANSPORTER. DEL 1. BEHOV OCH KONSEKVENSER AV DATORISERING

This report presents knowledge concerning needs, costs and benefits as well as descriptions of alternative system designs for computerized transmission and handling of information for different functions in connection with order processing, transport booking and operations. Considering the extent of the problem area and the limited resources of investigation, the problems have been considered only broadly. Consequently, quantitative evaluations are often very rough. The report concentrates on domestic goods traffic and includes the following items: definition and description of possible functions in computerized information systems based on the present situation and information requirements, discussion and estimation of benefits, costs and practical problems for different parties due to implementation of the suggested functions.
