INFORMATIONAL ALCOHOL SAFETY ACTION PROGRAM CASE MANAGEMENT COMPETENCIES MANUAL
This manual is intended to be a training vehicle for Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program case managers. It outlines the case manager's professional tasks and the competencies required to perform those tasks. Resources for skill improvement are also part of this manual. A supplement to the manual offers criteria necessary for classification so that case managers may better determine the needs of the DUI defendant and to make the initial appropriate referral. Criteria are based upon established research and self-reported information as delineated in each level.
