SYNTHETIC RUBBER IN ASPHALT IN EUROPE

This is a preprint of a paper presented at the International Symposium on the Use of Rubber in Asphalt Pavements, Salt Lake City, Utah, May 1971. The author discusses the problems which have arisen in the use of rubber in road applications, methods of rendering rubberized asphalt road applications possible, suitable and convenient, the use of synthetic rubber in asphalt in Curpoe, with particular reference to Italy, and the development and promotion of synthetic rubber in flexible road pavements.
