ROUTE (OPERATING MODE: MEASUREMENT OF TRE/ROAD CONTACT NOISE)

A mode of operation is described for measuring the noise level due to tire/road contact of a rolling vehicle in free deceleration, with the engine tuned off. The first section deals with measuring the level of maximum noise emitted outside of the vehicle passing in front of a stationary microphone. Part Two concerns measurement of the average noise level prevailing within the (inhabited) vehicle.
