MAINTENANCE MEASURES AND ROAD SAFETY

KUNNOSSAPIDON TOIMENPITEET JA LIIKENNETURVALLISUUS

A study of typical traffic safety problems associated with maintenance and prospects of improving traffic safety with maintenance measures. The road sections and areas made difficult for traffic in winter and summer are also shown. The investigation is primarily based on the use of the traffic accident register kept by TVH, which contains data on traffic accidents on public roads reported to the police. The statistics over the maintenance costs at the maintenance office of TVH were also used as the weather statistics of the Meteorological Institute. (TRRL)
