WHITE PAPER ON TRANSPORTATION SAFETY IN JAPAN '84

Among other topics this white paper discusses the traffic accident situation in Japan. It describes the general situation of road traffic accidents and trends in vehicle traffic and analyses road traffic accidents in 1983. Part of part 2 presents measures related to land traffic safety: improvement of the road traffic environment, spreading traffic safety concepts in communities, striving towards safer driving, maintenance of vehicle safety, traffic control and enforcement of traffic control, improvement of the emergency rescue and emergency medical services, rationalization of automobile accident compensation, and promotion of highway traffic safety science and technology.
