Determination of the Characteristics of Noise-Reducing Materials for Motor Transport
Nowadays more and more attention is paid to the research of noise emitted by motor transport because of the introduction of lower permissible noise levels for automobiles on a legislative level. One of the effective methods to reduce automobile noise is the use of noise-reducing materials (noise-absorbing, soundproofing, vibration damping) in its design. The measuring setup for determining the characteristics of noise-reducing materials is reviewed in the article.
