NORTH CASCADES HIGHWAY SR-20. AVALANCHE ATLAS-SUPPLEMENT

In June of 1971 an AVALANCHE ATLAS for the North Cascades Highway was prepared and distributed in loose-leaf form so that it could be supplemented from time to time as more information became available on avalanche activity along the highway. During the three winters since publication of the Atlas, ground and aerial reconnaissance during the winters and the results from a full-time observer, the last two years stationed at Washington Pass, have produced such information, which is now incorporated in the supplement.
