THE CONCEPT OF ACCESSIBILITY IN THE TRANSPORT SECTOR

IL CONCETTO DI ACCESSIBILITA NEL SETTORE DEI TRASPORTI

In recent years many studies in the field of transport planning have been devoted to the search for tools to facilitate the selection between several alternatives of subjective factors. The prevailing approach is the definition of indicators which, when expressed mathematically, would represent the effects of the policies undertaken. Within these terms, this article deals with the concept of accessibility and with the formulation of indicators relative thereto. (TRRL)
