CONTACTLESS MEASUREMENT OF THE REST POSITION OF THE CONTACT WIRE AT HIGH SPEEDS
BERUEHRUNGSLOSES MESSEN DER FAHRDRAHTRUHELAGE MIT HOHER GESCHWINDIGKEIT
For an electrified railroad network of more than ten thousand km, the question of economic maintenance and improvement of the overhead contact system is important. The quality of the state of the art of the overhead contact system and of the reasons of irregularities at current collection are prerequisites. A measuring method is necessary which is sufficiently exact and, without any disturbances of the railroad operation determines the rest position of the contact wire. Therefore a new measuring system has been developed, which can measure the contact wire height and the contact wire horizontal profile at high running speed with a maximal uncertainty of 1 cm.
