NECESSITY OF MEASUREMENTS OF OVERHEAD CONTACT INSTALLATIONS AT THE WEST GERMAN RAILROAD SYSTEM (DB)

In order to measure the contact wire height at the DB, point concentrated methods are used with optical plumb and with the measuring cross. It is also possible to measure with both methods the horizontal position. A continuous measurement and record is realized by the contact wire gage which is attached to the tower railcar.
